NOT A WASH

Sunshine on Sunday

---------------

TONIGHT:
Clouds thicken.  Chance for a shower by dawn.  Low 35.

SATURDAY:
A few zone of patchy light rain & drizzle.  Some clearing possible later in the day.  High 46.

----------------

Mixed bag for the weekend. Saturday will see a "wedge'esq" sort of event.  Clouds, chilly temps and a few zone of patchy light rain and drizzle.  We may be hard pressed to get beyond the drizzle concept.  Later Saturday PM, some clearing skies should kick in, provided, what is advertised as a weak wedge, scours out.

Sunday looks dry with just a few clouds across the sky.  Rain returns Monday, we get a lull Tuesday and the early Wednesday more rain expected in our area.  Winds get a bit blustery Wednesday and remain active through Christmas Day.  Christmas day looks sunny, cold and breezy; no rain.

Clouds Increase Tonight, A Chance of Showers on Saturday

Current temperatures:

Forecast:

We started Friday with sunshine but clouds increased into the afternoon and clouds will increase through the rest of the night and into Saturday.

Low pressure moving south of North Carolina will increase our area's chance for showers on Saturday.  With the clouds will also come cool afternoon highs.

High pressure will give the state a little more sun on Sunday but clouds will return for Monday as a new system moves into the region.  This system will give us and even better chance for showers.  A strong cold front will cross the area Tuesday night into Wednesday.  That front will again increase our chances for showers and the possibility for a few rumbles of thunder as well.

ACTIVE PATTERN AHEAD...

-----------

Low pressure will track to our south on Saturday with colder temperatures and some light rain possible. It will be cold enough in the morning that a few spots may see some snowflakes mixed in but don't look for any accumulation.

We get a brief break from wet weather on Sunday but the active pattern kicks in again Sunday night and Monday with another cold rain event. Another system brings rain and gusty winds Tuesday night and Wednesday. There might even be a little thunder. We dry out later Wednesday.

At this point, Christmas Day looks sunny and breezy with highs near 50.

----------

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds.  Low 33.

SATURDAY: Cloudy with some light rain or light snow possible.  High 43.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny.  High 50.
