RALEIGH — Amanda Hayes' daughter took the stand once again Thursday inside a Wake County courtroom.
The murder trial against Hayes was put on hold Wednesday as court was shut down due to the winter weather.
Hayes is accused of helping her husband Grant Hayes kill the mother of his children, Laura Ackerson, and then dumping her dismembered body in a Texas swamp.
While on the stand Sha Guddet talked about several conversations she had with her mom during July of 2011 including her wanting to take a trip to Texas with her to visit family.
A conversation she says her mom was not happy about.
"She got mad at me...and told me to stop being selfish....and she just lost her mother and had a baby and that she needs her big sister."
Grant Hayes is serving a life sentence for Ackerson's murder. Amanda Hayes' trial could last about four weeks.
